Las Tejedoras Fiber Arts Guild will be in the Main Exhibit Hall demonstrating a Fiber To Shawl on Saturday. The shawl will be auctioned for the benefit of the wool festival. On Sunday, guild members will have a variety of fiber crafts for visitors to try.

Throughout both days of the festival members of Las Tejedoras will also be demonstrating a variety of fiber crafts and invite visitors to try many of them.

Sunday morning in the exhibit hall main area the Las Aranas guild will be demonstrating fiber combing and preparation of sliver for spinning, spinning on a wheel and drop spindle, Navajo plying of yarn, weaving, and needle felting.

Kid’s Activities Table - An afternoon of Art Making

The activities will include:

  • Making yarn cordage bracelets
  • Painting a scenic postcard with watercolors
  • Wrapping a stick with yarn to tell a story (An easy wool craft for the littlest fiber artist)
  • Opportunity to draw and color in response to the festival (all ages)
