MULTI-DAY WORKSHOPS

WORKSHOP REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. We need to let our instructors have time to prepare!

M(9/30)–W10/2) - 9am-4pm - CC - El Taoseno

Jacey Boggs: Textured Yarns

Materials Fee: $30 and includes bundles of hand painted top, some carded roving, locks, and carded textured batt. Students Should Bring: Spinning Wheel in good order and 4-6 oz of miscellaneous fiber.

W(10/2–Th(10/3) - 9am-4pm - El Pueblo Lodge

Sara von Tresckow: SW Weaving on a Rigid Heddle

Materials Fee: $10. Includes appropriate weft and warp yarns in assorted colors. Students Should Bring: Rigid heddle loom 12" or wider, 7.5 or 8 dpi reed, tapestry fork, one or two stick shuttles, scissors.

W(10/2–Th(10/3) - 9am-4pm - CC – El Alcalde

Janine Bajus: Fair Isle Color – from Inspiration

Materials Fee: $14. Includes handouts and 2 oz of Shetland yarn for swatching. Students Should Bring: Knitting needles appropriate for Shetland yarn (Size 2 or 3 suggested) and usual knitting bag tools. A "Color Inspiration to work from - specifics will be sent to registrants by the instructor.

Th(10/3 –F(10/4) - 9am-4pm - CC – tbd

Elizabeth Barber: Bobbin Lace with Wool

Materials Fee: $50. The kit includes everything needed for the class: Bobbin lace pillow, 30 clothespin bobbins, wool yarn, pricking, graph paper and pricker. Students Should Bring: Scissors, pencil and paper.

Th(10/3 –F(10/4) - 9am-4pm - CC – El Taoseno

Elaine Sipes: No Fear No Waste Weaving

Materials Fee: $0 Will include handouts and software. Looms and yarns available at a discounted rate through Your Daily Fiber. Call for details; 970-484-2414. Orders and rentals need to be placed by 9/1. Students Should Bring: Rigid heddle or 4 harness loom 12” width minimum, scissors, threading hook, needle and thread, optional; knitting needles in a variety of sizes.
